Commissions and fees on ZebraSnap
How much we charge per sale and how much Stripe charges for processing the payment — by plan, by account, by currency.
At a glance
When an athlete buys one of your photos, two things happen:
- ZebraSnap keeps a percentage (your commission) based on your plan.
- Stripe charges a payment-processing fee that's also deducted from the sale.
The rest lands in your Stripe Connect account and is transferred to your bank on the payout schedule you picked.
ZebraSnap commission by plan
| Plan | Commission |
|---|---|
| Free | 16% |
| Lite | 13% |
| Pro | 7% |
| Enterprise | 5% |
We only charge when you sell. Publishing albums, uploading photos, or using the mobile app is free.
Stripe fee by platform
ZebraSnap uses two Stripe Connect platforms: a global one (USD base) and a local one for accounts in Mexico (MXN base). The exact fee depends on your platform and the currency you sell in.
Global account
- 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
- +1% when selling in a currency other than USD (conversion)
Worked example
$10.00 sale on a plan with 7% commission
- Sale price
- $10.00
- ZebraSnap commission (7%)
- − $0.70
- Stripe fee
- − $0.59
MX account
- 3.6% + MX$3.00 per transaction
- +2% when selling in a currency other than MXN (conversion)
- +16% VAT on the Stripe fee (Stripe Mexico)
Worked example
MX$200.00 sale on a plan with 7% commission
- Sale price
- MX$200.00
- ZebraSnap commission (7%)
- − MX$14.00
- Stripe fee
- − MX$11.83
Lower your commission
If you sell often, upgrading pays for itself by lowering your commission. On the highest tier you keep over 90% of every sale in most scenarios.
FAQ
Why is there a Stripe fee? Because the payment processor charges to accept credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods. Every photo-selling platform pays it; we show it separately so you can see exactly where every cent goes.
Why does the fee change with the currency? ZebraSnap operates in US dollars by default, so if you charge in another currency Stripe adds a small conversion fee. Accounts in Mexico operate in Mexican pesos (MXN); there, conversion only applies if you sell in another currency.
