Private albums with your branding

For weddings, graduations, sessions and brand events: an album only people with the link can see, with your logo and colors. How to create, customize and share it.

At a glance

A private album is an album without an event that doesn't show up on the marketplace, your public profile or search engines. Only the people you share the link with can see it, and the page carries your logo and colors instead of the ZebraSnap navigation.

It's built for private work: weddings, quinceañeras, graduations, family sessions, corporate or brand events. Everything else works like any album: you sell with the same cart, your clients find themselves with a selfie or their number and download right away.

Private albums are available on every plan, including the Free plan. The feature is in Beta.

Create a private album

  1. Go to Create album on the web.
  2. Below the event album card, press Wedding, graduation or private session? Create a private album instead.
  3. Fill in the name, price and cover. A private album has no event or location.
  4. Under Page design, pick the template your clients will see. After creating the album you can fine-tune colors, logo and header.
  5. Upload your photos and publish the album as usual.

A few things worth knowing:

  • An album is private from the moment it's created. An event album can't be turned private later, or the other way around.
  • For now private albums are created on the web. The mobile app shows and manages your albums, but doesn't create private albums or edit their design.

Who can see it

  • Anyone with the link can open the album once it's published. No account needed.
  • It doesn't appear on the marketplace, on event pages, on your public profile or in the sitemap search engines read.
  • In your albums you'll recognize it by the Private album label.

To lock it down further, combine the private album with the usual options:

  • Password-protected album: only people with the password get in.
  • Show only each person's photos: nobody browses the full gallery. Each guest takes a selfie and only sees the photos they're in. Great for weddings and parties where not every guest wants anyone to see their photos.

Add your branding

A private album page uses your branding on two levels. Anything you don't set on the album comes from your brand kit.

Brand kit (for all your private albums)

In Settings > Brand set once:

  • Logo: shown in the header. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background works best.
  • Primary color: buttons and accents.
  • Secondary color.

Design of each album

Open the album and press Customize page. There you choose:

  • Template:
    • Classic: the standard gallery, in your colors.
    • Elegant: serif type and lots of white space, for weddings and celebrations.
    • Editorial: a split layout, with your cover on one side and big titles on the other. You can pick the Cover position.
    • Corporate: your logo in the center, on a flat panel or over the cover photo, with its own Panel color.
  • Header name: for example "Ana & Luis" or the company name. If you leave it empty your name is used.
  • Logo: a logo just for this album, for example the one of the brand that hired you. If you don't upload one, your brand kit logo is used.
  • Colors: any you leave empty are inherited from your brand kit.

The preview shows the full page with sample photos, and you can check it in dark mode and at phone width before saving.

What your clients see

Your clients see your logo or name at the top, your colors on buttons and accents, and the template you picked. The cart, language switcher and dark mode are still available. ZebraSnap only appears as a single "Powered by ZebraSnap" line at the bottom of the page.

If you have a custom domain, your private album links use your domain.

Several albums for one job

For a job with several parts, like a wedding's ceremony and reception, create one private album per part and group them in a folder: select them in your album list and use Move to folder (you can create a New folder right there). Share the folder link and your clients will see all the albums together, with your branding.

A private folder can only hold private albums, and a public folder can't hold private albums. That way a private album never ends up visible because it sits in a public folder.

Sell or give away

A private album sells like any other: same price per photo, same discounts, same checkout and your plan's same commissions. If the client already paid for the session and you want the photos to be free for the guests, set the price to 0. See Give your photos away for free for the options.
