What happens to my domain if I downgrade?

Custom domains are part of Lite, PRO and Enterprise. If you switch to a plan without that feature, here's what happens to your domain. For everything else a downgrade changes (commission, features, albums), see Plans, prices and limits.

Day 0 - downgrade

We email you when your plan changes to let you know your domain goes offline in 14 days unless you upgrade.

Your domain keeps serving normally during this 14-day grace period. Visitors won't see anything change.

Day 14 - pause

If you haven't upgraded by then, we pause the domain and email you again. From then on, yourname.com no longer points to your profile - visitors who open it may see an error instead of your photos.

Your portfolio is still online at zebrasnap.com/your-username, so share that link while the domain is paused.

Re-upgrading

The moment you re-subscribe to a plan with custom domains included, we reactivate your domain. No re-verification, no re-pointing - it just comes back. You'll get an email when it's live.

If you bought the domain through us

The domain registration stays yours and keeps renewing every year on your card while auto-renewal is on, so you don't lose it while the site is paused. If you'd rather move it to another registrar, contact us and we'll help you transfer it.
