How it works
A free album is an album with a price per photo of 0. Your athletes find themselves with their selfie or their bib number, like in any album, and take their photos without paying. You choose how they get them:
- Through the cart. They add their photos, the total stays at 0 and they get their order by email.
- With direct download. Each photo has a Download button. No account, no cart, no waiting.
Make a free album
- Open your album. In Quick actions, press Adjust price.
- Set the price to 0. When you lower it to 0, the direct download option appears.
- Turn on direct download. Switch on Allow direct downloads if you want them to download without going through the cart.
- Save. Press Update price. You can also set the price to 0 when you create the album.
Tip. Set up your post-purchase watermark before you give an album away: every downloaded photo takes your name to your athletes' social media.
What your athlete sees
With direct download, when they open a photo they see the Download button instead of the cart. They get the photo at full size.
Plans
Free albums are available on the Lite, PRO and Enterprise plans. On the free plan, an album priced at 0 cannot be published.

You photograph the weekly training run, give the photos away and the runners get to know your work before the next race.
A sponsored event
The sponsor pays for your work and the athletes download their photos for free, with your brand and the event brand.
A gift for your club
You share the album with the club and everyone finds themselves with a selfie and takes their photos.
Frequently asked questions
- Do my athletes have to sign up?
- With direct download, no: they download each photo with no account and no cart. Without it, they go through the cart with a total of 0 and leave their email to get the order.
- Do the photos carry my watermark?
- They carry your post-purchase watermark if you set one up, just like when someone buys. If not, they download without a watermark.
- Can I see who downloaded?
- With direct download you get no notifications or details about who downloaded. Album visits still show up in your stats.
- Can I give away only some photos?
- The price is set per album. To give away only some photos, create a coupon with a 100% discount and share it with whoever you want.
- Can I publish a free album without setting up payouts?
- Yes. An album priced at 0 can be published even if you have not connected your payout account yet.
