Instead of zebrasnap.com/your-username, your clients go to photos.yourname.com and see your profile, your albums and the cart with your logo and your colors. You connect a domain you already own or buy a new one from ZebraSnap, and we set up the SSL certificate.

How it works

Your domain points to ZebraSnap and we serve your profile, your albums and the cart there. Your clients see your logo and your colors on every page, and the links you share show your domain. You have two options:

  • Connect a domain you already own. You add two records at your DNS provider and you are done.
  • Buy a new one. You search for it from ZebraSnap and we take care of DNS, SSL and renewals.

Connect your domain

  1. Open Settings. Go to Custom Domain.
  2. Type your domain. In Connect a domain you already own, type your domain or a subdomain, for example photos.yourname.com, and press Connect domain.
  3. Add the DNS records. Copy each record with Copy and add it at your DNS provider: a TXT record to verify the domain is yours and a CNAME (or an A record if you use the main domain).
  4. Wait until it is live. The page moves on its own through Verifying DNS, Issuing SSL certificate and Live. We let you know when your domain is working.

Tip. Use a subdomain like photos.yourname.com if you already have a website at yourname.com: your site stays the same and your photos live at their own address.

Buy a new domain

In Or buy a new one through us, search for the name you want. If it is available, you see the price per year and pay by card. We set up the DNS and the certificate, so you do not have to add any records.

The domain is yours, includes WHOIS privacy and renews every year. You can turn off auto-renew or renew early from the same page.

Your brand on your domain

What your clients see uses your logo and your colors from Settings > Brand: your logo at the top of every page, your colors on the buttons and a minimal footer.

You can have one domain at a time. To change it, remove the current one and connect the new one.

    You search for jakeharrisonphotos.com, buy it from ZebraSnap and it works without touching DNS.

    At the finish line, the announcer says "find your photos at photos.yourname.com" instead of a long address.

Frequently asked questions

What do my clients see on my domain?
Your profile, your folders, your albums, the photos and the cart, with your logo at the top, your colors on the buttons and a minimal footer with "Powered by ZebraSnap".
How long does it take to work?
It is usually ready a few minutes after DNS propagates, although DNS can take up to 48 hours. The page updates on its own at each stage.
How much does a domain bought on ZebraSnap cost?
From US$19 a year for .com, .net and .org. It includes WHOIS privacy and renews every year while auto-renew is on.
Can I use a subdomain?
Yes. You can connect yourname.com or a subdomain like photos.yourname.com, and keep using your current site on the main domain.
What happens if I move to a plan that does not include it?
Your domain keeps working for 14 days. After that it is paused and your profile stays at zebrasnap.com/your-username. When you go back to a plan that includes it, it turns back on without any setup.
